Mental Health First Aid
Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) is an internationally recognised training course, designed to teach people how to spot the signs and symptoms of mental ill health and provide help on a first aid basis. Adult MHFA courses can be attended by people aged 16 upwards and are relevant for the general population. Everyone on an Adult MHFA course is taught a set of skills which enables them to support someone experiencing mental health issues.
Each and every MHFA course is delivered by a quality assured instructor.
Adult MHFA Two Day course which qualifies you as a Mental Health First Aider.
Mental Health First Aiders have:
An in depth understanding of mental health and the factors that can affect well being
Practical skills to spot the triggers and signs of mental health issues
Confidence to step in, reassure and support a person in distress
Enhanced interpersonal skills such as non-judgmental listening
Knowledge to help someone recover their health by guiding them to further support - whether that’s self-help resources, through their employer, the NHS, or a mix
The one day mental health awareness and skills course (champion) qualifies you as an Adult MHFA Champion.
MHFA Champions have:
An understanding of common mental health issues
Knowledge and confidence to advocate for mental health awareness
Ability to spot signs of mental ill health
Skills to support positive well-being and respond to a crises
1-day Emergency First Aid at Work Course – (ONLY £69)!
This course covers all the essentials, including CPR, choking and unconsciousness.
2-day First Aid at Work (Requalification course).
To attend this course you must be able to produce your original & current First Aid at Work certificate of attending a 2/3 day course as proof of eligibility.
Photo ID will also be required.
3-day First Aid at Work Course – (ONLY £149)!
This course provides the most comprehensive First Aid training, and covers everything from the 1-day course, as well as strokes, head injuries, heart attacks, and more.
Paediatric First Aid - Ensuring the safety of the children around you is paramount.
Children are vulnerable and especially prone to accidents and mishaps. That’s why, as an adult, it is your responsibility to learn the crucial First Aid skills that could one day save the life of a child close to you.
12-hour Paediatric First Aid Course
Mandatory for nurseries and childminders. This course covers all the essentials, plus head injuries, sprains, asthma, diabetes, and more. Meets the requirements of Ofsted, the Approved Carers Scheme and can be used towards an NVQ in Childcare.
